PAJ - SEZs, Logistics & Ports Tour - June 16, 2022

On Thursday, June 16, 2022, the #PortAuthorityJa took #AICE2022 delegates, specially invited guests and the media on a tour of several Special Economic Zones, Logistics Centres and Ports in Kingston and St. Catherine.

They got a 'first look' at the space designated for the establishment of the #CaymanasSpecialEconomicZone, explored Kingston Freeport Terminal Limited and nearby warehouses & logistics centres, and ended the tour at the Historic Naval Dockyard in Port Royal.

The tour group included approximately 60 potential investors from around the world, with the main goal being to have these investors review and assess projects and locations to identify options and possibilities which may be of interest to them.

Jamaica is blessed with natural assets and ideally located at the intersection of key trade routes. One of our key areas of focus is to leverage these advantages through key infrastructural & technological investments and the development of special economic zones to help position Jamaica as a #GlobalLogisticsHub.
