A look to a Blue Ports in the Caribbean - a Regional Workshop on Development Strategies - hosted here in Jamaica in May 2022 by the World Bank.

This workshop focused on promoting sustainable use and management of ocean and marine resources, and creating an enabling an environment for fostering further development of Jamaica's #BlueEconomy.

Key topics included Port Community Systems, Port Connectivity, Digitalization Challenges & Opportunities, Enhancing Maritime Connectivity and Port Specific Climate Change Adaptation Plans. Special invitees from across the Caribbean were in attendance, including representatives from Jamaica’s port and marine community, Grenada Ports Authority, St. Lucia Air & Sea Ports Authority, Belize Port Authority, the Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS) and more.
