Abu Dhabi Ports announces AED 4Bn expansion projects at Khalifa Port on its 7th Anniversary

Serving over 25 shipping lines and linking to 70 international destinations, our flagship port KhalifaPort, celebrates its 7th Anniversary. Contributing factors to Khalifa Port’s success include the handling of +20 million tons of general cargo and bulk, along with +2 million containers. Khalifa Port, the region’s first intermodal semi-automated container port, was inaugurated by H.H. Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE and Ruler of Abu Dhabi on 12.12.12, who stated: “Khalifa Port will become one of the most important ports in the world“.
