Zayed Port was inaugurated in 1972, and is named after the UAE’s Founding Father - the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan. It is one of the most strategic ports within the emirate of Abu Dhabi and has expanded its status to become a premier regional hub to encompass cruise tourism, as well as general and bulk cargo services.

Captain Ammar Al Shaiba, Acting Director of Zayed Port, discusses Zayed Port’s operational capacity and commercial importance, while sharing his insights into the future of trade and the role it will play in supporting Abu Dhabi’s vision for a global future.
